Doubling the number of its participants to 115, a great A.G.M atmosphere, a strong program and good ideas for the future. That’s the way the 2nd Wernesgrüner Werkzeugsymposium is presenting itself. At the end of 2009 this event was created by an idea of the companies oelheld, Zoller, Vomat, Feinmechanik Michael Deckel and ISBE. Within two events it evolved to a popular symposium for the tool grinding community.

The highlights in 2011were the illustration of the entire process tool grinding with its innovations as well as an intensive preparation for the GrindTec. Furthermore the detailed illustration of the process chain in tool grinding manufacturing and the connection of periphery and exhibition space for funding companies were discussed.

Please mark the date for next year in your calendar because the number of participants is limited to 150. The 3rd Wernesgrüner Werkzeugsymposium takes place on 2nd and 3rd February 2012. The focus is set on the cooperative partnership with the GrindTec. This means that the main topic will be the GrindTec 2012 and highlights will be presented in advance. In addition there will be an increased number of lectures from universities, a tool grinding centre of Michael Deckel for experimental purposes and new geometries of tools will be presented and discussed.

The success of the Wernesgrüner Werkzeugsymposium should be a tool symposium for the modern tool grinder. This has always been the most important aspect realising this event. The symposium is done by grinders for grinders and is carried out practice orientated. It is an event in a small circle and opposite to major events it offers all passive members and participants the opportunity to get to know each other better. We are looking forward to a reunion in Treuen.
